Best known for his single "She Worth the Trouble," Cali crooner J. Valentine (the self-proclaimed 'King of R&Bay') drops his debut solo album, showcasing his extra smooth vocalism and romantic player tendencies. Though not extremely well known outside of the Bay Area, this 12-track collection serves as a wake-up call for the rest of the world, giving lovelorn females everywhere a new singing stud to swoon over. There’s no doubt he's got a great voice, propelled by minimal but effective production and some quality collaborations, including Snoop Dogg on "Get With This," Twista on the self-explanatory "T&A," and Keri Hilson on "Last Night." Whether he matures into a legitimate superstar remains to be seen, but The Testimony is definitely a good start. Also check out "Climb Them Walls" and "Freaky" featuring Gucci Mane.
