This 2026 EP by Tsumyoki—aka Nathan Mendes—gets its title from the musical influences tied to Africa that infuse his self-invented “Goa bounce” style. The five-track record presents the artist from India’s sunshine state adding Afrobeats and dancehall traits to the pop, R&B and hip-hop that make up his multicultural sonic mix. To adequately capture the essence of his inspirations, the genre-meshing rapper and singer-songwriter recorded the drums live instead of programming the percussion. The result is an eclectic, energetic set that provides a party soundtrack for everything from club nights to Carnaval.
