Killing Joke
Absolute Dissent
Album · Metal · 2010 · Fontana International
English rockers Killing Joke blazed an indelible industrial-goth trail in the ‘80s, and on their 13th studio album the original lineup gets back together after 28 years to deliver unstoppable riffs and bruising dance rock. Frontman Jaz Coleman roars at full fury on “The Great Cull,” and guitarist Geordie Walker leaves a trail of scorched earth in his wake on “This World Hell.” But the quartet also make room for the glittery New Wave of “European Super State,” serving up a vocal endorsement of unity.
