Founded by clarinetist Dieter Klöcker, the German chamber ensemble Consortium Classicum was formed in the early 1960s to perform Classical and Romantic repertoire for woodwinds and strings in various combinations. The group includes leading orchestral soloists and music educators, and typically numbers up to ten players.
