Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Watching Sylvester descend a staircase in the video for You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) in 1978, I remember thinking, "Wow, you can do that?" Or hearing Lou Reed sing about Candy shaving her legs and plucking her eyebrows—and I wanted the wild side.
