About These Wicked Rivers
Formed in early 2014, Derby, England's These Wicked Rivers are inspired by the heavier side of melodic hard rock while incorporating bluesy, American Southern rock stylings. In July 2015, they self-released The Enemy, a dynamic four-track EP. A second EP, II, arrived in 2017, followed by the double-A-side "Should've Known Better" and "Foolin' Mankind." After a mini hiatus, the band returned in early 2020 with the riff-based "Shine On," the lead single from their ecologically minded debut LP, Eden. Its follow-up, 2024's Force of Nature, was put together in comparatively careful, piecemeal fashion and became their first release to hit the U.K. chart.
