About GIVĒON
“There’s that element where I’m doing this because it’s in my DNA,” GIVĒON told Apple Music. “I didn’t choose music. I tell people all the time, ‘I didn’t choose it. It chose me.’ But I care about rhythm & blues. It means a lot to me.” And through his elegant, introspective R&B, the singer-songwriter fulfills his personal destiny.
GIVĒON’s resonant songwriting and honeyed baritone have locked in listeners since his breakout year of 2020. During that time, he collaborated with Drake (“Chicago Freestyle”) and released two EPs, Take Time and When It’s All Said and Done, where songs like “Heartbreak Anniversary” and “Last Time” ruminate over breakup dates and the pull of a toxic relationship.
His stock soared further after he featured on Justin Bieber’s monster hit “Peaches” (2021), then released his debut album, Give or Take, in 2022. His sophomore effort, BELOVED (2026), provided proof of maturity. “I think I grew as an artist exponentially,” he said. “There’s a leap in my knowing how to articulate what I feel, or what I have a taste for.”
