Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up listening to country radio in my dad's truck when he'd take us to school. 90's country music was fun but there was a dark side to it. The first time I heard "Goodbye Earl" by The Chicks really stuck with me: it was gritty but also fun.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, Blood On the Tracks Merry Clayton, Merry Clayton T. Hardy Morris, Audition Tapes There's a mystical element and sparseness to these three records. The expressiveness of Dylan, Merry Clayton, and T Hardy Morris is something every artist could learn from.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Wild Azaleas” I wrote “Wild Azaleas” when I was 25, trying to determine who I was and what kind of people I came from. I got a lot of genealogical details, but to really know my parents when they were young was impossible. So I wrote a song about it.
