Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Singing to socialist folk in my parent's Ford Tempo GL, breakdancing to Benny B at an Algerian wedding —a collision of worlds. Tinkering on a Casio CT-670, like I was decoding a secret language, birthing the strange sound that defines me today.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alpha Blondy, Apartheid Is Nazism (2010 Remastered Edition) Deerhoof, Friend Opportunity Maria Bamford, 20% Deerhoof’s fearless warmth, Blondy’s deep rebel groove... & Bamford's real-deal surreal virtuoso vulnerability proves that comedy is just music by other means (& vice-versa?). Together, they are a holy trinity of weird, joyful survival.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Animal Chic” This track is the anthem of my rebirth— my home mix of grit, groove, & survival. It embodies the "grand chien fou" energy of the Cayenne Club, proving that even as we are fighting to escape our own mental prisons, we can still dance with blazing joy!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being pulled on stage by Saul Williams at Joe's Pub in NYC for an impromptu song remains electric. Playing my songs at a Valence prison in France—+ many more experiences that taught me that the spectacular is innate, and lives 2 be shared. Like love!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I dream of scoring a film soundtrack, channeling my inner Trent Reznor to build new sonic worlds. I also want to keep bringing my "Cayenne Club" universe to stages from Tokyo and Algiers & beyond- like a river flowing everywhere! One song at a time.
