About Jean Dawson
Known for his lyrical and hypnotic blend of hip-hop, trap, and experimental indie rock, Jean Dawson straddles genres and identities with ease. The rapper and singer's 2019 EP Bad Sports garnered widespread buzz for his omnivorous approach to music, which reflected a childhood split between San Diego and Tijuana and an equally deep love of punk, West Coast hip-hop, Americana, and British new wave. That style only grew bolder on 2020's debut full-length Pixel Bath and 2022's Chaos Now*.
