About Voodoo Jürgens
With a unique yet strangely familiar sound, Voodoo Jürgens has become one of the leading names in Austrian indie rock. The artist, also associated with the names David Öllerer and Divad Obenaus, abandoned a career as a pastry chef, became the vocalist of the rock band Die Eternias in 2004 and assumed the persona of Voodoo Jürgens in 2015. Since then, he portrays with acidic humor and irony the daily lives of bohemians and decadent figures in songs that combine minimalist folk, Viennese dialect and occasional Britpop influences.
Voodoo Jürgens has also released music as a member of Die Eternias.
