Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Listening to Jimi Hendrix, Cream and The Who in my dad’s work van! Ben
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Rage Against the Machine, Rage Against the Machine Richard Thompson, Mock Tudor The Levellers, Levelling the Land Remastered LTL is the soundtrack of my generation, raw folk-punk rebellion that shaped my musical journey. Rage pure class bottled up with anger in every song, makes me want to flip cars! MT is a masterclass in songwriting, ‘Hard on me’ guitar solo is crazy!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sunflowers” I wrote this song after I lost my Mum to cancer. It’s about how you keep people alive after they’re gone. How you never truly lose them, they are always there and made us who we are.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Supporting Headsticks and Shanghai Treason at The Bodega in Nottingham. It was a sell out show, we played our hearts out and then drove home in the driving snow, top night!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To play more festivals, especially Beautiful Days, Bearded Theory and Cropredy. We’d love to support the Levellers at Rock City, so many great memories seeing them and a host of other great bands there.
