KMRU is a sound artist, experimental ambient musician, and DJ originally from Nairobi, Kenya. His delicate, textural compositions blend field recordings and indigenous sounds with expansive, hypnotic drones. Initially producing beat-driven music, he earned international acclaim for his ambient works, such as the 2020 full-length Peel. He released a collaboration with Kevin Richard Martin (aka the Bug), Disconnect, in 2024. Kin, his second album for Editions Mego, appeared in 2026.
