Feb 1, 2021About Duncan Laurence
Eurovision Song Contest winner Duncan Laurence used his star-turning performance as the event’s Netherlands representative to kick off his career. The song that won the 2019 edition of Eurovision, “Arcade,” became Laurence’s first hit, showcasing what his fans would learn to love about his musical vision: a breathtaking voice and raw emotional vulnerability. He would further that style on 2023’s Skyboy, full of epic anthems built around rich piano melodies and soaring choruses equal parts immediate and memorable. In 2024, he moved his style towards the club, cooking up a sweaty all-night anthem with “Feel Your Love (Rapture),” a dance-floor cut that captures the ecstasy of finding true love where it’s least expected. It showcases the progression in Laurence’s career, who proclaimed himself a “Small Town Boy” with his 2020 album of the same name, before trading in acoustic guitars and enchanting piano runs for synth pads and thumping bass.
