About Lucille Croft
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I was a metal head. Got lost at my first festival, stumbled into a tent with mind-bending visuals and the weirdest music I'd ever heard -t hought my drink was spiked. It was Aphex Twin. Been in love with electronic music ever since.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Aphex Twin, Richard D. James Album
Nine Inch Nails, The Downward Spiral Explicit Version
The Prodigy, The Fat of the Land
The Downward Spiral taught me how to feel, The Fat of the Land taught me how to rage, and Richard D. James Album opened my mind. II've been chasing that mix of darkness, violence and strangeness in my music ever since discovering these.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Coming Undone”
I love this song. It's about mentally unravelling, the downward spiral into facing myself, and instead of cowering away from it, facing it head on, and enjoying every moment of it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
A month after getting dropped by my first mgmt and releasing my first song independently, I woke up to see it go from a 2k streams to 100k in a day (got added to 7 major editorial playlists), then I opened my email to see an offer for HUGE festival.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
- meeting Trent Reznor
- collaborate with Boys Noize
- turn my project into a live band
- launch my own record label
- world domination
... to name a few :)
