Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
It started in church in Kenya—praise and worship pulled me in first. My uncle played music on car rides, and reggae was our house soundtrack. I still remember the melody to the first song I ever wrote, a gospel tune.

808s & Heartbreak by Kanye changed how I thought about melody and vulnerability. The Jackson 5 catalog showed me I could express myself through music. Days Before Rodeo taught me to build a whole world from one project.

“ALL IN VEIN (DRUMS)”
'ALL IN VEIN' is the one for me. I loved the Donny Hathaway sample so much I pitched his vocal up to sound like a woman's voice. I sat on that record for almost a year, so it felt amazing to finally release it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Working on Kanye's DONDA album was huge—I co-wrote and sang on 'Keep My Spirit Alive' and '24,' which earned me a Grammy nomination. Those sessions felt spiritual. Getting signed to A$AP Rocky's AWGE was another huge moment for me.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Going mainstream and becoming a truly global artist is next for me. I want to play Coachella and tour the world stage to stage. I've got a real plan to be a worldwide artist—this is just the start.
