Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was very young, my dad would sing and play guitar to put me to sleep. I enjoyed it very much, but it wasn't always effective at making me fall asleep - I usually wanted to sing harmony, which was intuitive to me from an early age.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ella Fitzgerald, Ella at Zardi's (Live, 1956) Glenn Gould, Bach: The Goldberg Variations, BWV 988 (1981 Recording, Remastered) Leo Kottke, 6- and 12-String Guitar (Remastered) Remastered "6 & 12 String Guitar" hit me like a lightning bolt and had a huge influence on me as a player. Glenn Gould's Goldberg Variations is a box of jewels of every shape and hue. "Ella at Zardi's" is so alive you can smell the cigarette smoke in the room.

T.3)” It's a holiday tune of course, but it brings together a lot of what I love: A live recording to tape with everyone in the room at once, an old-school country vibe, and a sense of humor. A stark contrast to my indie singer-songwriter original songs.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Probably performing Paul Simon's Graceland on Good Morning America in 2014. I hadn't even decided I wanted to be a professional musician yet. I had no idea what I was doing there. They put a lot of makeup on me. It was very surreal.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? First and foremost is a solo headline tour. I've toured a ton with duo projects, but never solo. I was supposed to tour 'Public Life' in 2020, but the pandemic scuttled those plans. I'd love to play the Ryman Auditorium one day. Also NPR's Tiny Desk!
