About Yawning Man
Yawning Man sits at the epicenter of California's Palm Desert scene, a trance-inducing, often psychedelic type of hard rock and metal. Only after other groups on the scene gained prominence, including the multiple bands of fan and musician Josh Homme (Kyuss, Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age) did the band, active since the '80s, start releasing a discography of their own, stretching more than two decades from 2005's Rock Formations to 2025's Pavement Ends.
Members of Yawning Man include, or have included, Alfredo Hernandez.
