Albums by The Intelligence
Artist Biography
At the turn of the 2000s, Lars Finberg set out as frontman for punk bands the A-Frames and the Intelligence, in addition to starting a label, Dragnet Records, in order to distribute their early singles. Eventually, Finberg would turn his attention to the Intelligence’s distinctly lo-fi, somewhat surf-influenced garage sound, releasing their first full-length, BOREDOM AND TERROR, in 2004. Venerable punk label In The Red signed the group in 2005, and issued four LPs in the ensuing four years, including 2009’s FAKE SURFERS. During that period, the Intelligence also made a reputation for themselves live, opening for influential luminaries like the Fall.
