Artist Biography
Bummerville was conceived by prolific D.I.Y. artist Daniel Brady Lynch. Lynch became a well-known character in the 2010s on the Savannah, Georgia music scene, drumming for punk bands Cray Bags and Greta O. & the Toxic Shock. He also played guitar in the garage rock duo the Lipschitz with his partner Rachael Boswell, and maintained a long-running electronic solo project, Sunglow. Lynch went on to release three albums as Sunglow between 2014 and 2017, and the Lipschitz put out their debut full-length record Country Boy in 2017. He and Boswell relocated to Chicago, and Lynch later announced a new venture, Bummerville. Although primarily a solo project, he enlisted his brother Derek Lynch (bass), Joshua Sterno (guitar), and Johnathan Graham (drums) to perform live. Distinct from his other enterprises, the music featured lo-fi fuzzy textures and buried vocals, but with melodic tunes. Bummerville's debut record, Bottom Feeder, was released in January of 2018 via Graveface Records. ~ Bekki Bemrose
