In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I remember watching Hannah Montana for the first time as a kid and being so vividly inspired, that I immediately begged my mom to take me to dance class and get me a karaoke machine so I could be like her. I still want to be her. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Frank Ocean, Blonde
Lorde, Melodrama
ROSALÍA, MOTOMAMI
Melodrama was the reason why I started writing music and taught me the ropes on what it meant to make music. Blonde was the record I listened to everyday when I was sixteen. Motomami makes me want to party for the rest of my life. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Perfume”
This is the first time I wrote about what it felt like growing up as a gay kid, which is something I was afraid of writing about for the longest time, but writing this song healed the part of me that held a lot of shame for being gay.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Literally everything. I want to win a grammy and be a popstar and have a number one song and be best friends with Dua Lipa.
