Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my first memories of music that made me want to start playing and singing was hearing Tennessee Whiskey on the radio while driving home from college during a break. I was blown away by everything in the song, from vocals to production.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Chris Stapleton, Traveller Jason Isbell, Southeastern Sturgill Simpson, High Top Mountain These are three of my favorite artists. They all changed my view of what Country music can be. Growing up, we always listened to the radio, so I had a particular view of what Country music was supposed to sound like until I heard these albums.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Flippin' the Bird” This was the first song I wrote. I didn't plan on doing anything with music; I just had the idea, and it came out. It probably only took half an hour to finish, and it has been a blessing and a curse for me in my career.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I got to meet Zac Brown and talk with him for awhile a few years ago. He was one of the first concerts I attended, and I have one of his guitar pick holder necklaces that I've worn for every show I've ever played.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There is a ton left on my bucket list. There are so many artists I'd like to meet and perform with. Also, I've always wanted to travel the world playing music.
