Artist Biography
Canadian hard rockers Convict never escaped the clichés of the genre - leading some to suspect them of being a ‘joke’ band. However, Terry ‘The Can’ Browning (vocals, guitar), Kim Kennedy (bass) and Vic Bradley (drums) were perfectly serious in their intent. Their 1985 debut album for Cobra Records, Go Ahead Make My Day, balanced conventional hard rock with tedious AOR ballads. Their musical immaturity and lack of songwriting ability led to many stinging reviews in the Canadian press. Unsurprisingly disheartened, Convict folded shortly after its release.
