About Berne
In the artist’s words:
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Gordi, Our Two Skins
RY X, Unfurl
The National, High Violet Bonus Track Version
These albums are a soundtrack to some crucial moments in my life - moving from a small island to a big city (High Violet), isolation and making music during the pandemic (Our Two Skins), and encouraging us to refine our signature sound (Unfurl).
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“To the Lions”
To the Lions is a special song because writing it and producing it was such a cathartic experience as it explores betrayal from the perspective of a farmed animal. I wrote the lyrics and melody while reading 'Eating Animals' by Jonathan Safran Foer.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
One moment that really jumps out at me is our support show for REYKO at Moth Club London in 2021. The room was on fire, the audience were having the time of their lives, and we had the best time performing!
