Horizon Ignited is a Finnish deathcore group that combines the melodic death metal style of pioneering artists like In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, and Children of Bodom with the neck-snapping modern thrash of Killswitch Engage and Trivium. Founded in 2017, Horizon Ignited's independently released debut album, After the Storm, appeared in 2019 and elicited positive feedback in the melodeath community. It also caught the attention of Nuclear Blast, which enthusiastically added the band to its roster, releasing the acclaimed Towards the Dying Lands in 2022. Three years later, Horizon Ignited returned with Tides, an assured set of songs rooted in themes of emotional discord, mythology, and the afterlife.
