About Russian Circles
Chicago-based instrumental post-rock/metal trio Russian Circles create a complex clamor of sprawling guitars, propulsive drumming, and heavy basslines. First emerging with the promising 2006 debut Enter, the group became one of the leading post-metal acts of the 2010s, receiving wide acclaim for ambitious full-lengths such as Empros (2011) and Guidance (2016). Continuing into the next decade, the band released the raw, direct Gnosis in 2022 and the cathartic Nine in 2026.
Influenced by Russian CirclesRussian Circles has influenced the music of Thundersmog, Absurd Creation, GLOSSA and more.
