In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Not my earliest memory, but very important: I remember writing my first-ever song with my longtime friend and collaborator Arun. We sat in a cafe and wrote the lyrics in a little notebook and we were so overjoyed. The song was called Swimming Pools.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Dolly Parton, The Grass Is Blue
Ichiko Aoba, Windswept Adan
The Beatles, Revolver
I remember listening to the Beatles and Dolly Parton on my dad's old iPod. The songs are still some of the most beautiful I've ever heard and taught me everything I know about melody and lyricism. Ichiko is a current favourite and great inspiration.

“Lonely Writer”
I think this is my favourite song of mine. It's special because if someone were to say 'show me the song which represents who you are best', I'd hand them this one.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Releasing my first full project 'Between Two Gardens'. The album began with the idea to tell a symbolic story of a journey between birth and paradise. It is a tribute to the literature, myth and folklore I love and, I hope, a tribute to imagination.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
To perform in Japan. I have always wanted to visit and work with artists based there. I hope it will happen soon!
