About Jay Teague
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I remember the first time I ever performed in front of a crowd. Middle school talent show. That was a tough crowd. We were a three piece and played “3AM” by Matchbox 20. we played at probably twice the necessary speed and was done in about 2 minutes.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Chris Stapleton, Traveller
Cody Johnson, Ain't Nothin' to It
Ward Davis, 15 Years in a 10 Year Town
These albums are so well written and recorded. They’ve influenced allot of what I’m writing at the moment but I’ve been listening to them for years now. Ward Davis is so under-rated right now but I say another year or two, he’s gonna do big things.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Carolina Ways”
it’s truly an honest song. I love and miss the times I had growing up in South Carolina with my Grand folks and my crazy friends. I owe allot of who I am to those times and I feel like this song tells that.
