About Bonny Light Horseman
Performing contemporary folk music that shows a deep reverence for the past as well as a willingness to play with traditions, Bonny Light Horseman is a collaboration between three talented friends who also happen to be respected artists in their own right. Featuring playwright, songwriter, and musician Anaïs Mitchell, songwriter, producer, and composer Eric D. Johnson, and producer and multi-instrumentalist Josh Kaufman, the trio fuses the melodic strength of traditional folk with the cool atmosphere of contemporary indie music. Their self-titled debut album appeared in early 2020. A set of writing sessions in Upstate New York in the spring of 2021 grew into a second full-length project, 2022's Rolling Golden Holy. The band used an old Irish pub as their base of operations for 2024's double LP Keep Me on Your Mind/See You Free.
