In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I first picked up a guitar at the age of eight. One of my earliest memories is playing my first wedding at age twelve and nearly falling asleep with my head resting on my guitar for the last set that ended at 1:00 am.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Better Oblivion Community Center, Better Oblivion Community Center Sufjan Stevens, Carrie & Lowell The Beatles, The Beatles (The White Album) These three albums have had a strong influence on my music. The use of acoustic instruments is beautiful. I return to these three albums frequently.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “This American Hero” This song and the EP it comes from is a project I long wanted to complete. It is a tribute to John Lewis. I was able to release it before his death but wish I had been able to share it with him.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moments always came when I was able to share stages with other outstanding singer-songwriters to an attentive audience. I'm always grateful for these opportunities.
