Miranda and the Beat are a California-bred, New York-based rock & roll band whose sound is steeped in punky guitars, garage rock organ, and wailing vocals that add accents of soul and girl group energy to their music. Revved up and ready, their music is raw and hard-edged while sounding full-bodied and passionate, the style of a rock & roll band who take their fun seriously. The band sounded low-key and bluesy on their debut single in 2018, though that would change by the time they released their self-titled debut LP in 2023, which documented a group with a lot more muscle and attitude, and they cranked up the tempo and the impact on 2024's Can't Take It.
