About Barry Can't Swim
British producer Barry Can't Swim makes lively, tuneful house music with a touch of melancholy. Influenced by jazz and Afrobeat as well as classic pop songwriting, his tracks are groove-forward but also emphasize memorable melodies, and frequently contain vocal samples from a wide variety of genres and countries. Numerous stand-alone singles preceded two EPs, including the breakbeat-heavy More Content (2022), and his Mercury Prize-nominated full-length debut, When Will We Land?, arrived in 2023. Loner, a more complex and expansive second album, was released in 2025. He curated a volume of the Late Night Tales series in 2026.
