Tell us why you chose this song. “The Freedom Club” Inspired by Amelio Robles, an aboriginal transgender soldier who fought alongside Zapata during the Mexican Revolution presenting as a man. The song seeks a sense of freedom within an inherently broken society that acts as a prison for minorities.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Our debut double album titled “Hope is Risk” got nominated by Music Victoria for ‘Best Heavy Work’ as part of the Music Victoria Awards 2023 and by the Australian Music Prize as one of the best Australian albums released in 2023.
