Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My great grandmother bought me a Realistic keyboard when I was about 5 years old. I loved sitting out on the front porch of my childhood home, creating simple rhythms and harmonies.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Pink Floyd, Delicate Sound of Thunder (Live) TOOL, Lateralus Tauk, Headroom The exploratory nature of all of these albums really engages my creativity. Every time I listen, I hear something new, and it inspires ideas for my own writing and performing.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Someone in Your Life” This song describes the destruction of two relationships at the same time- my and my parent's former marriages. They both ended at nearly the same time, and the parallels were uncanny. It was massively therapeutic to write and release this song.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I got to perform with jazz great James Moody about 15 years ago, not long before he passed. Playing with a living legend, even trading solos with him, was a life altering experience.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just want my music to positively impact someone. If even one person enjoys and relates to what I create, it's worth it.
