In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I remember being glued to the TV watching a VHS recording of Crowded House performing Don't Dream It's Over on a late night talk show and being mesmerised by the idea of a live show. For months after I would poorly sing the lyrics at full volume. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Herbie Hancock, Mr. Hands
Laura Nyro, Eli and the Thirteenth Confession
of Montreal, Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?
Each of these albums bring me to a place far away where i can feel joy and release. Hissing Fauna taught me production, Eli taught me songwriting, Mr. Hands taught me pocket. Collectively they defy experience. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Unforgettable Cheer”
I truly believe I was allowed access to unrestricted joy while writing this song. I set out to write the opposite of a devastating breakup song, one where I could simply ramble about love and use music to heighten the state of mind. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Unfortunately, we've already made it to the top, so no :(
