In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Our first ever "electric show" was at the Driftless Char Bar, a seedy dive bar in Minneapolis. We went under a different name, but wanted to have some stage time before our show later that month at Cabooze. I remember it being loud and loose. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Grateful Dead, Workingman's Dead Remastered
Tony Rice, The Bill Monroe Collection
Yonder Mountain String Band, Mountain Tracks, Vol. 2
We always try to include a Grateful Dead song in our set. Their jams and spontaneity inspire us to this day. YMSB was a pioneering jamgrass band. They paved the path that we now follow. Lastly, some simple yet complicated bluegrass. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Time Machine”
This is the song that started it all. When we were forming as a band, we spent hours perfecting this song. It was our first release, our most popular song and a telling tale of love, loss, and time travel. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Playing the big stage at First Avenue in the fall of 2023. First Avenue is an iconic stage in Minneapolis. After four years as a band, we were able to embrace the stage! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Play The Telluride Bluerass Festival. As a bluegrass band, this is the it, the goal that most bands share.
