About Andrew Mijares
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I grew up singing in church, where I learned early how music could completely change the energy of a room. Taking a song, finding the emotion in it, and watching people connect hooked me. I think I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“A Little Bit Reckless”
This song feels like the clearest picture of where I’m headed as an artist: country storytelling, big pop melodies and something that feels alive in the car or onstage. It sounds like where I am now, not where I thought I was supposed to be.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Opening KISS Country’s Undercover show in my hometown of Miami was one of those “this is really happening” moments. Getting onstage with my band and playing my music for a country crowd felt like a glimpse of everything I’d been working toward.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Plenty. I want to build a live show that can travel anywhere, hear a crowd sing one of my songs louder than I can, play the festivals I grew up watching and keep making records that evolve with me. I don’t think I ever want the bucket list finished.
