Curtis Mayfield, The Very Best of Curtis Mayfield The Alarm, The Best of the Alarm The Staple Singers, The Staple Singers We love these 3 albums, they were great influences on our writing style and sound. Plus, one member of The Alarm is in the band.

We wanted to explore the roots of modern conflict, and suggest that external wars are projected from internal struggles and the fear of others "not like us"
