Artist Biography
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One of the very first gigs we played as a full 4 piece band was in West Virginia at Point Pleasant where the Moth Man is from! We stayed in an old haunted hotel there and had a ball! Gosts kept Shannon and Brett up all night! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
David Grisman Quintet, The David Grisman Quintet
The Tony Rice Unit, Manzanita
Various Artists, The John Hartford Fiddle Tune Project, Vol. 1
The Manzanita Album showed what bluegrass can be… even without a banjo.
David Grisman has always made great records.. just love the style of recording and arranging.. I could have chosen any of his records
John Hartford.. the same…

“Sweet Sue, Just You (Live)”
I love this one because it falls just outside of the norm for bluegrass… sitting squarely in the crooner/swing world and Brett’s Banjo fits right it.
Plus, it’s just always better when recorded and captured live! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
There are so many great memories from playing in this band it’s really hard to nail it down to one.
We alway have a ball riding in the JTR Van laughing and going on at each other.
We’ve played a lot of great venues and had a ball at every one.
