Founded by former Naked Raygun member John Haggerty with his brother Joe, Pegboy played a snappy, pop-spiked style of punk with heartland bluster and minimal fuss. Their debut album, 1991’s STRONG REACTION, prefigured much of the pop-punk that would follow. They played together for almost a decade before breaking up in 2000, leaving behind three essential documents of melodic post-hardcore and shaping a sound that many young bands would ride to huge success.
