About John Barrowman
John Barrowman starred in U.K. productions of Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, and Hair prior to taking on a breakthrough television role as Dr. Who's Captain Jack Harkness. He released his debut as a solo recording artist, Reflections from Broadway, in 2000. Swings Cole Porter, a 2004 follow-up, earned a slot on Billboard's U.S. jazz chart. 2007's Another Side, featuring covers of the Police and Elton John, enjoyed a lasting presence on the U.K. album chart. The following year's Music Music Music featured a Top 20 interpretation of Barry Manilow's "I Made It Through the Rain," while his self-titled 2010 album debuted just outside the Top Ten. There was a four-year hiatus until the released his fourth studio album. Crowd-funded by fans, You Raise Me Up featured covers of classic songs such as "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Mandy."
