Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was 14 years old, in my room making a mixed tape of my favorite Harry Connick, Jr. recordings, singing along to his version of "But Not For Me", when the door opened, and my Mom said: "You sound good." I acted annoyed, but was really thrilled.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ella Fitzgerald, Priceless Jazz 1: Ella Fitzgerald Joni Mitchell, Joni Mitchell (Song to a Seagull) Nancy King, Live at Jazz Standard (feat. Fred Hersch) Digital Only I borrowed this Ella cassette from the library in Toronto, and the kind librarian hipped me to many more albums. Thank you, Keita! * Joni Mitchell's harmony and storytelling inspire me daily. * Nancy King opened my ears and heart to freedom in song.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Sliding Down (Meyer/Stylianou)” I loved (and sang) this song without lyrics for many years. Edgar Meyer is an incredible musician and composer. The words came all at once during an artist residency in Banff, AB, and were inspired by some challenging words of wisdom from a friend.
