Oliver Anthony is a Virginia country-folk singer, songwriter, and guitarist who rose from total obscurity to the top of the U.S. pop and country charts in 2023 with his self-released song "Rich Men North of Richmond." Recorded outdoors at his farm with a single microphone, the track's unpolished delivery and themes of working-class struggle caused it to go viral within days of its release, paving the way for his 2024 debut full-length album, Hymnal of a Troubled Man's Mind. In 2025, he returned to the country charts with "Scornful Woman."
