About Better Joy
Manchester-based indie rock band Better Joy trade in bright jangly guitars and catchy hooks, all centering around frontwoman Bria Keely as the main driving force.
Keely grew up in Manchester, with an ear for classic rock. After experimenting with a few different styles, she settled on a Cure-inspired jangle-pop aesthetic, building a band around her that would become Better Joy in 2023. Their debut single, "Hard to Love," followed shortly after. They set about touring the U.K., mostly in support of other bands and notably for Hard-Fi in 2024. Their first headline tour materialized in 2025, after releasing their debut EP, Heading Into the Blue. Another EP, At Dusk, surfaced later the same year.
