About Nevermore
Nevermore straddles the line between progressive power metal, traditional heavy metal, thrash, and the contemporary hard rock scene, eschewing pomp and theatricality in favor of a darker tone, as heard on acclaimed efforts The Politics of Ecstasy (1996), Dreaming Neon Black (1999), Dead Heart in a Dead World (2000), and This Godless Endeavor (2005). Established in 1992 by former Sanctuary members Warrel Dane, Jim Sheppard, and Jeff Loomis, Nevermore went on hiatus in 2011. After Dane died in 2017, the band announced a 2025 reunion, with co-founder Loomis leading a new lineup and plans for a forthcoming album.
