Boston-based Big D and the Kids Table are a contemporary ska band whose interpretation of the style makes room for easygoing Jamaican grooves, hard-edged punk-infused skanking, and plenty of stops in between. Fierce advocates of the D.I.Y. ethic, they maintain a close connection with their fans and the independent ska community. While the group's lineup has shifted frequently over the course of nearly three decades, founder and frontman David McWane has kept the band rollicking and relevant. Making their debut with the 1999 album Good Luck, the group's breakthrough came with 2024's How It Goes, while 2007's Strictly Rude and 2009's Fluent in Stroll became fan favorites, 2019's Strictly Covered saw them putting their own spin on some of their favorite tunes, and 2026's The Good Ole American Saturday Night found them still explosive on their 12th studio set.
