About The Prize Fighter Inferno
The Prize Fighter Inferno is technically a separate project than frontman Claudio Sanchez's main band, the progressive metal outfit Coheed & Cambria. However, the two bands are still very much associated with one another due to the narrative -- a multi-generational blood feud between three families known as the Amory Wars -- that connects all of their albums together. Adopting a more nuanced acoustic/folktronica/indie rock style, My Brother's Blood Machine appeared in 2006, followed by a string of EPs that ushered the adjacent story into the next decade. Sanchez's sophomore long-player under the Prize Fighter Inferno moniker, The City Introvert, arrived in 2021.
