Artist Biography
The seeds of Bloodkin were sown when childhood friends Daniel Hutchens and Eric Carter, who grew up together in West Virginia, started writing songs together while still in their teens. By the time the early 1990s rolled around, they had formed Bloodkin. The band's mix of Southern-fried roots rock and alt country appealed to Widespread Panic, who covered a number of Bloodkin tunes, most notably "Can't Get High." Bloodkin's debut album, GOOD LUCK CHARM, came out in 1994, and they maintained an active release schedule thereafter, with Hutchens finding time for a couple of solo albums along the way.
