Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memory of hip hop was from the Disney movie Oliver & Company where in the movie within the first 5 minutes, a break dancer character with a boombox had a beat jamming. From there onward, the TMNT movie and then my moms Dance Mix 92 tape.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Heavy D & The Boyz, Blue Funk Ice-T, O.G. Original Gangster Kid Sensation, Seatown Funk 3 albums that played pivotal parts in my life. Ice-T cuz of my dad & his Navy crew playing the hardcore. Heavy D's Blue Funk album for the production and smooth flow. And how can I be a kid from the northwest without mentioning Kid Sensation.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Puttin' In Work” It's a fun song to perform live. When I introduced it into my live set in 2008, I didn't think I would still be performing almost 20 years later. Wasn't a single, wasn't a radio hit, no music video- just something for a live crowd.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? There's been so many and truly grateful for the good and even the bad moments because they make the adventure of it all memorable. I think I'm gonna lean towards being inducted into the Canadian Library and Archives with 7 albums is pretty cool.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Just coming out of a 6 year retirement... I think there is still a good amount of gas in the tank. I don't tend to make a bucket list because I don't want to let myself down if an idea doesn't get accomplished. Keep it to certain uncertainty :)
