About Reagan Youth
Reagan Youth was an anarchist hardcore band from New York active in the height of political unrest and social dissatisfaction trickling down from the actions of their namesake. Throughout the '80s, Reagan Youth was part of the CBGB's punk scene of NYC, using scathing sarcasm and satire to express their righteous indignation with the state of U.S. politics and society at large. Their 1984 debut full length Youth Anthems for the New Order was fast, loud, and angry hardcore, charged by seething anger and proudly irreverent statements. The band splintered by the start of the '90s, but reformed in 2006 and went on to release further music such as the 1993 compilation A Collection of Pop Classics, and 2025's Volume 3, Life & Times Revisited, and album that was completed after the deaths of several founding members.
